Door Access Control systems
We fit door readers wherever you need them, front entrances, back doors or fire-exit gates. Our readers work with cards, fobs and PINs so only authorised people gain entry, keeping your premises secure at all times.

Biometric Access Control Systems
For high-security areas, we install biometric readers such as fingerprint and facial-recognition systems. These advanced access control systems ensure that only authorised individuals gain entry, without the need for physical cards or PINs, offering the highest level of security for your most sensitive zones.

Digital Keypad Control Systems

Integrated Access Control Systems
We link your new access points into your existing alarm and building management systems. This ensures that, in the event of an intrusion, the system triggers intruder alarms while also locking down access points and providing instant alerts. It’s an all-in-one solution for seamless advanced access solutions and comprehensive property security.

Building Security Management Systems
For larger sites, we centralise access, alarms and CCTV into one dashboard. You can monitor every entry point, run audit reports and receive SMS or email alerts when security protocols are breached.

Stand-Alone Access Keypad Control Systems
For simple setups, like storerooms or small outbuildings, we install stand-alone keypads. They operate independently yet still let you deny access to unauthorised users and track entry logs.

What is an Access Control System?
An access control system is an electronic security setup that replaces traditional keys and locks with digital credentials such as key cards, fobs, PIN codes, mobile phones or biometric scans (fingerprint or facial recognition).
Instead of handing out physical keys, you decide exactly who can enter which doors, at what times, and from which devices. If a credential is lost or an employee leaves, you revoke access instantly from a dashboard or smartphone app, so there is no need to change locks or reissue keys.
A modern access control system in Sydney typically includes four components working together:
- Credentials: the cards, fobs, PINs, mobile passes or biometric data that identify each user.
- Readers: the devices mounted at each door that scan those credentials.
- Controllers: the brains of the system, which decide whether to unlock a door based on permissions.
- Management software: the dashboard (cloud-based or on premises) where you add users, set schedules, and view access logs.

Very happy
I spent about a month looking for certified installers in the Sydney area, most offered system + install (but mine was BYO), some didn't even get back to me (which is likely a good thing!). I even asked my friends and colleagues - none had any recent dealings with professional installers - well I KNOW who I will recommend to them now!
Professional, trustworthy and attentive, Sydneywide Security made this experience stress-free! Thanks guys!
highly recommend
I had an excellent experience with Sydney Wide Security! They were always punctual and approached their work with the utmost professionalism. They got the job done quickly and efficiently, and I was truly impressed by their commitment to using only the best equipment and techniques. It’s clear they prioritize quality and customer satisfaction. I highly recommend their services for anyone in need of reliable security solutions!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Moe recently visited my property to conduct repairs and servicing on our home security, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. He was professional, punctual, and extremely knowledgeable.
The repair process was seamless, with no unnecessary disruptions and he had no issues coming out a second time to address my concerns.
We then tasked them with upgrading our Intercom and Access Control systems, a major investment not only in terms of funds but also resources as accessing all units over a 4 week period was never going to be an easy task.
Under Chris’s leadership his installation team of Moe and Chris 2.0 did a stellar job assisting in wrangling access to all the apartments despite the language barriers due to the large number of non English speaking residents in our complex; including juggling the changing access needs that tenants imposed.
The systems were installed professionally, any issues were promptly sorted out and the project ran 100% to budget and timelines. We had zero complaints from owners and residents about the workmanship or workers on site which was very pleasing.
Overall as chairman of the OC I was very pleased with the outcome and would highly recommend Chris and his team to other apartment complexes for the installation and maintenance of intercom, access control and CCTV systems.
A single word of caution, and this is not directed to Chris or his team as it’s completely outside of their control or remit, these types of upgrades do require a significant time investment by the Owners Corporation, be mindful of this when budgeting and allow for additional schedule B costs from your strata manager.
Frequently Asked Questions About Access Control Systems
How much does an access control system cost per door in Sydney?
A basic standalone keypad or card reader for a single door typically costs between $500 and $1,500 installed. Networked systems with cloud management and mobile credentials sit in the $1,500 to $3,000 per door range. Biometric readers start from around $1,200 per door. The exact price depends on door hardware, cabling, and whether you need integration with existing CCTV or alarms.
Can I integrate access control with my existing CCTV and alarm system?
Yes. Modern access control systems integrate with most major CCTV and intruder alarm brands, including Hikvision, Dahua, Bosch, Inner Range and Paxton. When a door is forced open or a credential is denied, the system can automatically trigger a camera to record, send you a mobile alert, and arm your alarm. We assess your current setup during the free site visit and recommend what works best with what you already have.
Do you install access control systems for offices in Sydney?
Yes. Office access control is one of our most common installations. We handle reception doors, server rooms, storerooms, meeting areas and after-hours zones. Typical office installs use card or mobile credentials with time-based access rules, so cleaners, contractors and staff each have the right access for their hours.
What is the difference between standalone and networked access control?
A standalone system controls a single door with no central dashboard. It is a good fit for a storeroom or small back office. A networked system connects multiple doors to a central controller or cloud dashboard, so you can manage all users, permissions and logs from one place. Networked is better for businesses with more than two doors, multiple sites, or compliance requirements.
How long does a typical access control installation take?
A single door system is usually installed in half a day. A 4 to 8-door networked system for a small office takes 1 to 2 days. Larger commercial or strata projects with 20 or more doors are scheduled across several days with minimal disruption to your operations. We confirm the timeline in writing before starting work.
Can I manage access control from my phone?
Yes. Most cloud-based access control systems we install include a mobile app. You can unlock doors remotely, grant temporary access to a visitor or contractor, revoke a lost card, view real-time entry logs, and get instant alerts if something unusual happens, all from your smartphone.
What happens if someone loses their access card or phone?
Call us or log into the management dashboard and revoke the lost credentials in seconds. The card or mobile pass immediately stops working at every door. You then issue a replacement to the user. Unlike traditional keys, there is no need to change locks or reissue keys across the building.
Do I need an electrician or a licensed security installer for access control?
A licensed security installer, not a general electrician. In NSW, you must hold a Security Licence (Class 2) to install access control systems that form part of a security system. Sydneywide Security is fully licensed and insured, and our technicians are specifically trained on commercial access control brands.
Can access control be installed in an older building or heritage property?
Yes. We install access control in heritage Sydney buildings, older warehouses, strata apartment blocks, and homes where running new cabling is difficult. Wireless locks and cloud-based controllers mean we can add access control without major structural work or damage to existing doors and frames.
Do you offer maintenance and support after installation?
Yes. Every installation includes a 12-month warranty on parts and workmanship. We also offer ongoing preventative maintenance plans, remote support, software updates and on-site service calls. Many commercial clients take an annual maintenance plan to keep their system compliant and running smoothly.
Is an access control system worth it for a small business or home?
For any business with more than one employee, stock, or after-hours operations, yes. The cost of replacing physical keys after an employee leaves or a break-in usually exceeds the cost of a basic access control system within the first year. For homes, access control is most valuable for multi-entry properties, home offices, or households with cleaners, carers or regular visitors.
